The story of Fumaison is really interesting... Ones upon a time was a farmer in Auvergne (middle of France, home of many amazing cheeses). It was sometime around 1990. This farmer got the idea to make a ewe cheese in the shape of a saussage, put it in a net, hang it in it's cellar and smoking it... Because it was smoked, he decided to call it "Fumaison" simply meaning "Smoked". Since then Fumaison is available. Taste of Fumaison is one more time unique... At the beginning you feel like you are eating a saussage due to the smoked taste. Then comes the after taste of cheese... A great unique cheese!
